The CASO Design WineCase Deluxe Inox deals with the moment of serving rather than storage. Its job is to hold the temperature of a bottle that has already been chilled – wine, sparkling wine or champagne – through a meal, at the table or on the terrace, instead of letting it drift warm in a bucket of melted ice. The stainless steel housing presents the bottle well and the unit itself stays unobtrusive.

5 to 18 °C, one degree at a time

Temperature is set electronically between 5 and 18 °C in 1 °C steps (or 41 to 64 °F in 1 °F steps) via a Sensor-Touch panel with a white LED readout. That resolution allows the serving point to be matched to a crisp white, a sparkling wine or a light red rather than guessed at.

Battery or mains

The unit runs on a removable battery for up to 120 minutes, depending on the temperature selected, the ambient temperature and the temperature of the wine itself (5–18 °C). The battery charges in roughly 2 hours, and an additional spare battery is available separately. Alternatively it can run from the supplied battery adapter with power unit – including without a battery fitted.

Made for the table

At 13.5 cm wide and 3.4 kg, it is built to go wherever the table is: dining room, terrace or barbecue. It takes bottles up to 90 mm in diameter, covering standard wine and sparkling formats. The manufacturer describes operation as quiet.
