The CASO Design WineDeluxe WD 17 built-in wine cooler is made for the 45 cm niche that already exists in most tall kitchen units – often above or below a compact oven. The handleless front with push-to-open keeps the cabinetry line unbroken, and Soft-Close Hettich hinges bring the door to a quiet, gentle close. The result is proper wine storage that does not disturb the look of the kitchen.

One temperature zone from 5 to 20 °C

The WD 17 runs a single temperature zone, electronically adjustable from 5 to 20 °C. That span covers the serving temperature of a crisp white as readily as that of a red ready to open, so the appliance is set to suit the wine actually being drunk. Active ventilation spreads the cold evenly through the interior.

Capacity and interior

It holds up to 17 bottles of up to 76 mm in diameter, with 370 mm of usable bottle height at the top and 320 mm at the bottom. The wooden shelf with integrated telescopic runners pulls out, so bottles can be taken without rearranging the rest. An activated carbon filter looks after air quality inside – something that matters when bottles stay in place for months.

Light, control and alerts

The white ambient LED strips along the sides can be switched on and set to four intensities (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%). The Sensor-Touch display with LED readout shows the set temperature, and a door alarm warns when the door is left open and temperature is being lost.
